Cajun Fries (Crispy, Oven or Air Fryer)
Cajun fries are the side that disappears before the main course — crispy, golden, and coated in smoky-spicy Cajun seasoning. Oven or air fryer, fresh or frozen, they take five minutes of effort. The flavor is all in one Cajun blend.
This uses Dirty South Crack, our Cajun blend (paprika, cayenne, gumbo filé, garlic, white pepper) — the perfect fry dust.
Why these beat plain fries
- 5 minutes of effort. Toss, cook, devour.
- One seasoning = Cajun flavor. Smoky, garlicky, a little heat.
- Works with frozen fries too — just season before and after.

Ingredients
Method
- Soak (fresh potatoes). Soak cut fries in cold water 20–30 minutes, then pat very dry — this is the crispiness secret.
- Season. Toss with oil and half the Dirty South Crack.
- Cook. Oven: 425°F, single layer, 30–35 min, flipping once. Air fryer: 400°F, 15–18 min, shaking halfway.
- Finish. Hit hot fries with the remaining seasoning and a little salt. Parsley optional.
Total time: ~35 min oven / ~18 min air fryer. Serves 4.
Pro tips
- Dry potatoes crisp; wet ones steam. Pat them bone-dry.
- Don't crowd — single layer, or they go soft.
- Season twice — before cooking for flavor, after for punch.
Dipping sauces
- Cajun aioli — mayo + a pinch of Dirty South Crack + lemon.
- Garlic ranch, ketchup, or honey mustard all work.
